Daren Pitcher has served as Lead Pastor at El Morro Church since 2018. He and his wife, Amy grew-up in the area and are thrilled to be back. After graduating from Point Loma Nazarene University, Daren spent a number of years as a youth pastor in Central and Southern California including Pismo Beach. Daren also taught middle school in the Los Angeles community of Boyle Heights. Daren’s previous pastorates led him to planting a church in San Diego followed by 14 years of pastoring in Bakersfield. Amy is a Program Director and Bible teacher at a nearby middle school. Daren and Amy have two sons, Dawson (a graduate of PLNU) and Noah (a graduate of Cal Poly, SLO). Daren loves to surf and has many years of experience coaching volleyball and golf.
