Hope For You: When God Whispers

This sermon, “Hope for You: When God Whispers,” teaches that God is still speaking to His people, but His voice is often hard to hear because our hearts and minds are crowded by fear, distraction, pride, anxiety, and the constant noise of the world. Drawing on passages such as John 10, 1 Samuel 3, 1 Kings 19, Psalm 46, and Psalm 119, the message explains that hearing God begins not with techniques but with surrender, stillness, and a willingness to obey. The preacher emphasizes that God’s voice is recognized through closeness to Him, especially through Scripture, prayer, and spiritual attentiveness, and that His guidance is not merely meant to comfort us but to shape us into faithful, obedient disciples of Christ. Rather than condemning us, Jesus the Good Shepherd lovingly calls us by name, meets us in our weakness, and leads us into healing, repentance, courage, and deeper life in His kingdom. The sermon’s central invitation is simple but profound: quiet the noise, draw near to God, and pray with humility, “Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.”
