Hope For You: Not Alone In The Struggle

This sermon centers on the deep human fear of being alone and the powerful promise of Jesus in Matthew 28:20 that He is always with us, even in life’s most overwhelming storms. Through the story of Jesus calming the sea in Mark 4, it emphasizes that following Christ does not exempt us from hardship—in fact, the disciples encounter the storm precisely because they obey Him. Yet the greater truth is not the absence of storms but the presence of Jesus within them. When fear rises and God seems silent, the real question becomes not the size of the storm but who is in the boat with us. Jesus’ authority over chaos reveals that He is not merely a teacher but Lord over all, and His presence assures us that no pain is wasted and no storm has the final word. Ultimately, the message calls listeners to shift their focus from fear to faith, trusting that the same Jesus who commands the waves remains with them, carrying them through every trial to the other side.
